How To Uninstall Software And how Remove Corrupted Files,

Very often when trying to delete corrupted files and folders from your computer you will run into issues and will keep finding traces of the software on your system. If you want to thoroughly uninstall software then you will have to delete all of the registry values
. This can be very difficult and can cause your computer to have even more problems in the long run if you aren't sure what you're doing.
Why Should I Remove Corrupted Files?
It's very important that you delete software that is no longer in use. This will allow your PC to work faster and will keep your registry free from errors. Before you remove corrupted files from your computer it's important that you back up your system registry. To do this you must:
1. Click the Start button and press Run.
2. Type %SystemRoot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe into the search box and press OK.
3. Create a restore point and then press Next.
4. Type in the name of the restore point and click Create.
5. Close down the box.
It's important that you back up your system registry before you make any major amendments to your system, this way you will be able to return to an earlier point in time if anything goes wrong.
How To Uninstall Software
The first port of call is to use the Windows Add/Remove Programs tool. This will be able to get rid of the software itself. Using this tool should always be the first step that you take when you delete any software from your computer.
  • Click the Start menu.
  • Navigate to the Control Panel.
  • Click on the Add/Remove Programs icon.
  • Once the list has populated single-click the software icon you want to delete.
  • Press the Remove button.
  • Follow the on screen instructions and then restart your computer.
This will remove the main bulk of the software from your system, however it won't delete all of the registry paths that go with it. This is what will slow your system down and cause errors. To delete these file paths you must manually edit the system registry. This can be a very dangerous task and should only be attempted if you have backed up the registry itself.
To edit the system registry you must type in REGEDIT.EXE into the Run tool. When the registry folder appears you should then browse the system files and remove the files and folders that are associated with the software that you are trying to delete.
Using An Uninstall Program To Delete Corrupted Files And Software
If you feel that the manual process is either too difficult or too dangerous then you could download specialist uninstaller software to so the job for you. There are programs out there that are designed to force remove software that Windows has trouble deleting. These programs will also be able to automatically delete the correct file paths from the system registry without you having to back up the files or manually remove anything.
